Not sure how many times we can reiterate this …start your day off with hot lemon water to jump-start your body, flush out toxins and it’s a natural energizer booster… so no need for that addicting thing called caffenine moody heads!
Rice it up
When cooking rice, add a squeeze of lemon. It helps the rice from sticking to the pan, plus adds a bit of flavor.
Freshen It Up
Put a leftover piece of lemon in your garbage disposal to add a bit of freshness.
Fruit/ Veggie Wash
One tablespoon lemon juice, one tablespoon white vinegar and one cup of water in a spray bottle results in an all natural wash for all your favorite veggies.fruits, plus saves you some mula!
Chemical Free Highlights
Put a little lemon juice in your hair before you go out in the sun.
Homemade Vitamin C Mouthwash
Squeeze a bit of lemon juice into a small, warm glass of water. Swish around your mouth for 30 seconds and swallow.
Throw a few handfuls of Romaine, half a pear and the juice of one lemon in the blender and viola… green lemonade. Best part is you are saving yourself the cals since you are skipping the sugary ones that are on the shelf. If you are in need of a cocktail, throw some vodka in there! That’s my kind of lemonade.
Cutting Board Stains
Rub half a juiced lemon over your cutting board after it’s been washed to remove stains and sanitize.
Juice half a lemon into a small bowl of water and soak your fingernails for 10 minutes. Rinse with vinegar for brighter nails instantly!
Whiten Your Laundry
This is great and less abrasive than using straight bleach. Add 3 tbsp. of lemon juice to a load of wash for stain-free laundry whitening
Dab a bit of lemon juice on age spots for a few consecutive days for quick lightening.
Rub half a lemon on a clean face. Leave on for 20 minutes. Stay out of the sun though, lemons enhance sun sensitivity.
Cut a lemon (organic preferred) in half and rub in a circular motion all of your skin. The acid helps to exfoliate and brighten your skin all at the same time. To avoid a Hot Mess moment: try a little patch of skin first to make sure you don’t have any irritation and/or redness.
