Daily MoodLifter: It’s Okay to Feel Down


What a contradictory title I came up with for today, but sometimes those are words even I need to hear.


There’s pressure to be “up” and happy all the time.

And of course, we all want to be smiling and energetic all the time… feeling down is no fun, and sometimes it’s hard to snap out of.  That’s a big reason pharmaceutical companies are rolling in the dough… there’s a pill for that!  But we all have to remind ourselves that it’s natural to feel sad or emotional for what seems like no good reason now and then.  Maybe it’s a wake-up call that you need to make diet or lifestyle changes, maybe your hormones are out of whack, or maybe it’s just “because”.  So before you beat yourself up for not being as peppy as your best friend or your spouse (I’m guilty of that!), be kind and patient with yourself, listen to what your body is trying to tell you, and just know that the more you keep making good choices, the faster this cloud will pass.  And if you need help making those good choices, give us a call!
